March 22, 2004
Phoenix Arizona– March 22, 2004 -- USGN, Inc. a leader in providing customizable, hosted project portfolio management solutions has announced the highly anticipated launch of a major new upgrade to its OPM PowerSuite software called UserGroups. The product was released in February and features many enhancements requested by USGN’s customers and partners.
Customers will now be able to create up to 64 unique user groups through a feature-rich, role-based permissioning tool. Currently, most industry user permissions are based on a few hierarchical user levels, which means, for example, that since both a contractor and an architect may fall under the same level, they would share the same permissions in such a system with no distinction between them. With UserGroups, customers can establish a “General Contractor” group and an “Architect” group that are unique with granular controls. Each user group has its own permissions that apply to the core software and advanced permissions that apply to both FormBuilder and ReportBuilder.
In addition to sophisticated permissions, UserGroups allows each group to have its own custom horizontal menu bar which will greatly improve the way each user interacts with the software. The user menu would contain only the functionality that is important to the users of that group. An accounting menu would look very different than a general contractor menu. The general contractor would not even see the links to the project cost report. This capability enables customers to set up their project sites based on how they work (i.e. adapt to their “Best Practices”).
In addition to the new User Group functionality, UserGroup has been enhanced for performance and usability which will dramatically increase the productivity of everyone involved in a project or program. As with all USGN upgrades, new features are seamlessly incorporated into the current system
The retail price of UserGroups is based on the complexity of a specific project. UserGroups is immediately available directly from the company. For additional corporate or product information, please contact USGN at www.usglobal.net or 602-745-2497.

October 3, 2006USGN CUSTOMERS SELECTED AS CONSTRUCTECH 2006 VISION AWARD RECIPIENTS
Wild Oats Markets, Inc. and Menemsha Construction Solutions recognized for integrating the USGN project management platform, enhancing productivity and bottom line
PHOENIX, AZ, October 3, 2006 - USGN, Inc., a leading provider of web-based collaborative project management software, today announced that two of its customers, Wild Oats Markets and Menemsha Companies Construction Solutions were awarded Constructech 2006 Vision Awards. The Constructech Vision Awards honor those companies that have used leading-edge technology to solve critical business issues.
Wild Oats and Menemsha Construction Solutions use USGN’s collaborative project management platform for advanced applications that they easily customized for their own company best practices. USGN is a technology solution that is integrated at the enterprise level across the entire organization to help drive projects for optimized productivity and bottom line results. USGN has helped these firms save as much as 10 percent based on total project cost while increasing performance by as much as 50 percent.
The Awards are as follows:
· Wild Oats Markets (Boulder, CO) received the Gold Vision Award for the Retail Chain category.
· Menemsha Construction Solutions (Hawthorne, CA) received the Gold Vision Award for the Construction Management $50 - $100 Million category.
Wild Oats won the gold award in the retail/chain category for its success in using online project management to improve communication associated with design and layout modifications with their architectural and engineering consultants, equipment suppliers and home office team. The transparency in process allowed by the system has improved communication and reduced delays while making Sarbanes-Oxley compliance easier. In the face of a doubling workload in 2006, USGN enabled Wild Oats to redirect resources spent each year on administrative support and management reporting to where it was needed most - design and innovation. Wild Oats has 112 stores in 24 states including Canada doing $1.2 billion/year in business.
"The USGN system is now second nature to us and is embraced by our users as the first and best way to communicate and share information," said Mike Kramer, senior director of Construction Facilities, Wild Oats. "We wanted the business to drive the system and not the other way around. Although USGN’s tool has become invisible to our team, the benefits realized are very much seen by all - I can’t imagine doing business any other way."
Menemsha Construction Solutions won a gold award in the Construction Management $101-$250 million category for its ability to take the single project model of its online project management application and adapt it to fit the multi-location construction model of its organization. The company leveraged the flexible platform developed by USGN to customize applications at the user level. Coupled with its program management process, the application has enabled Menemsha to manage fast-paced retail rollout programs required by some of its biggest clients.
"USGN provided our company with a better method to manage information, speed, quality and communication while it visually showed our clients a realistic picture of this collaborative system and manage by exception," Martha Bayer, COO, Menemsha Construction Solutions. "The number one value that our corporate clients receive is the ability to increase workflow of their construction managers - nearly doubling projects per year/manager by increasing both accountability and visibility of the entire team involved in the project."
"We are thrilled that our customers have been recognized for adding so much value and for leveraging our collaborative project management platform to help further their business goals and increase their productivity," said Doug Sperr, founder and CEO, USGN.
